Walgreens savings (62%) & Target savings (73.3%)

So today I had to run out for a few things at Target and Walgreens for the house, so I checked a couple of blogs to see if there were any good deals in the ads this week. Boy did that pay off!
Here are the 3 super cool deals I found today:
Walgreens: Out of Pocket (OOP) = $3.98
This is a great example of how you can use coupons to get almost free brand name stuff and beat the generic price!
Visine allergy drops
regular price: 4.49...on sale for 3.99 and I had a 3.00 coupon from the paper = $.99
Tylenol Cold Rapid Release 24 Gelcaps
regular price: 7.49...on sale for 4.99 and I had a 2.00 printable (see Tylenol link on side bar) = 2.99
In the ad this week if you bought certain Visine & Tylenol products products you got 3.00 Register Rewards.
So.....here's how I ended up (before tax)
Total Regular Prices = $11.98
Sale Prices = $8.98
Total Coupons = $5.00
Total out of pocket = $3.98 for both items + Register Rewards to use on next trip = $3.00
=62% savings off regular price
=55.6% savings off sales price
-----------------------------------------------
Target: Out of Pocket (OOP) = $3.39 (before my 10% team member discount)
I never include my team member discount in the Target deals to show what you could save!
Yoplait Plus yogurt
regular price 2.29....marked down to 1.71 - 1.00 printable from coupons.com = .71
Dry Idea roll-on deodorant
regular price 2.74...marked down to 2.00 - 2.00 printable from coupons.com = FREE
Archer Farms mini artisan french baguette
regular price .99...marked down to .84 - 1.00 Target printable from afullcup.com Target Coupon Generator = FREE (no overage)
Hershey's Bliss Chocolate
regular price 3.99...on sale 2.99 - 1.00 Target printable from afullcup.com & 1.00 printable from hersheys.com = .99
Cheetos
regular price: not sure...price cut to 2.69 - 1.00 coupon from afullcup.com Target Coupon Generator = 1.69
So here's how I ended up (before tax & before my Target discount)
regular prices = 12.70
out of pocket = 3.39
total savings = 73.3%
(If I hadn't indulged in the Cheetos, this would have been an 83% savings)
Thanks to
Jane4Girls for the Target bread info and to Stretching A Buck for the deodorant info!

I also received an email rebate a while back for $5.00 rebate off a Norelco trimmer. Brad has been needing a new hair trimmer so I finally broke down and shopped for one tonight. Turns out, I found the Norelco all in one for the same prices as the other brands at Target -- it was 18.89.
I don't even know why I got the rebate in my email. I'm assuming it came because I am signed up for so many savings newsletters --- Wouldn't you just normally just buy a trimmer because you needed it and not even think about a rebate or coupon? It pays to know what you need and wait and look for the deals. With my email rebate, I saved.....
Before tax and discount
regular 18.89
rebate 5.00
savings = 26.4%
----------------------------------------
Total Savings today including Register Rewards and Rebate for everything in the picture= 56.7%
